As part of the festivities of July 21, the Egmont Palace opens its doors for an exhibition “Text-île”.
The four historic tapestries at the Egmont Palace, which show four continents, are the starting point for this exhibition. The exhibition explores the aspects of migration, such as colonization, refugees, the hope of a better life, the search for identity, heritage and cultural exchanges, all through facilities, videos and sculptures from five contemporary artists. The works come from Pascale Marthine Tayou, Hans Op de Beeck, Berlinde De Bruyckere, El Anatsui and Ali Kazma..
