Acknowledged by a Belgian
If your parentage is acknowledged by a Belgian citizen in accordance with Belgian law, you may be granted Belgian citizenship from the date of acknowledgement, subject to the same conditions as those set out under the section entitled "Am I a Belgian citizen if one of my parents (father or mother) is a Belgian citizen at the time of my birth?" .
However, if your parentage is acknowledged after you have turned 18, you do not get Belgian citizenship.
