Didier Reynders welcomes President Obama’s visit to Belgium on 26 March

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders welcomes the announced visit of President Barack Obama to Belgium on 26 March.

The President of the United States will participate in a number of bilateral events that symbolize the strong and longstanding friendship between our two countries.

It will be President Obama’s first visit to Brussels since he entered the White House in January 2009. The President will also attend the EU-US summit and he will have meetings at NATO.

According to Didier Reynders, this visit once again testifies to Brussels’ central role as the capital of Europe and as headquarters of NATO.
