Didier Reynders condemns deadly attack in Beirut

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders supports the statement made by High Representative Catherine Ashton and condemns the attack that killed dozens of people and wounded many others in front of the Iranian embassy in the Lebanese capital.

Didier Reynders extends his sympathies to the families and friends of the victims.

The Minister declares Belgium’s solidarity with the government and population of Lebanon and said that he greatly values Lebanon’s hospitality and generosity towards Syrian refugees. The repercussions of the crisis in Syria on the stability and resources of Lebanon are a cause for concern.
