Belgium’s reaction to the earthquake in Iran
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders supports the declaration made by Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, following the severe earthquake that hit northern Iran and resulted in countless victims and considerable material damage.
Didier Reynders regrets that the Iranian government has not yet decided to accept the help offered by the international community. He nevertheless expresses Belgium’s sympathy for the Iranian population, the families of the victims in particular. He also wishes the injured a speedy and full recovery.
