Minister Reynders meets with his Armenian colleague Eduard Nalbandyan

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders met with his Armenian colleague, Eduard Nalbandyan, yesterday during the latter’s visit to Brussels.

The ministers expressed their satisfaction with the good bilateral relationships between Armenia and Belgium. In doing so, they referred to the growth of our economic relationships.

European issues were also brought up, such as the importance of the Eastern Partnership and the efforts that Armenia made regarding the processes that were started with the European Union.

The ministers also discussed the regional situation, especially Nagorno-Karabakh.

Minister Reynders is pleased that Belgium has contributed to the required consensus in the Standing Committee of the Francophonie to grant Armenia the status of full member of the International Organisation for the Francophonie.
