Didier Reynders extends his sympathies on the death of Honorary Governor André Denys
It was with great sadness that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders learned of the death of Honorary Governor André Denys. Didier Reynders extends his sympathies to the family and friends of the honorary governor and wishes them much strength in this difficult time.
The Minister remembers André Denys as a passionate politician and efficient governor. During the time he held the office of Governor of East Flanders (2004-2013), he was constantly hard at work for the citizens of his province. He coordinated the aid efforts during various disasters and was close to the people. He visited every one of the municipalities in East Flanders during his eight years as Governor and was always available to his constituents.
According to Minister Reynders, André Denys will also certainly be remembered as a warm and caring man.
